How we promote literature one 'R' at a time

There is nothing better than seeing a child getting excited being told that they are able to choose their own book to keep absolutely free. Watching them smile ear to ear an exclaim the pure joy behind the wonders of a brand new story help pave the road for future readers and successful adults. Our Bookaneer Tent is a literary outreach program designed to do exactly that! Challenges like having limited access to books, having positive reinforcement, and making reading fun are obstacles our organization tackles to change the way children think about reading!

There is no greater treasure than the words found within a good book.

Our band of pirates supply books at many of our events to provide the children new stories to choose from and take home. Families are encouraged to donate their gently used books to help spread the love of reading to another child creating a communal traveling library for the kids. The best part? There are no late fees or return dates! When a child is done with their book, they have the option to keep it, swap it out, or simply donate it back for another to enjoy. 

It is that simple!
